Vera Bradshaw Day
In the afternoon, we are hoping to welcome some of the former members who came to help the branch celebrate our 70th Anniversary. They enjoyed the day but felt that they didn't have enough time to meet and talk with the current members. It was thought that the Vera Bradshaw day was a good opportunity to rectify that. It will also be a good way for the newer branch members to learn about what has been done in the branch previously.
We want to have a small display of the current members work to show them. In addition, if any members who knew Vera Bradshaw have any work that they did at classes with her, we would be grateful if they could bring some pieces. It would be nice if anyone who still has the beaded diamond brooch we made with Vera andHeide for the Branch's 60th Anniversary could bring it.
We are also asking for contributions of homemade cakes so that we can all enjoy afternoon tea with our visitors.
The morning will be spent as usual on Vera Bradshaw day with members stitching - and, no doubt, chatting.
